'The Watershed is a film of testimonies: a testimony of love, of betrayal and a testimony of abuse. The testimony of self that you take to another: Sleep walking Sleep talking Talking of home and a photograph A photograph of your Mother that you never had. It is a film about destruction; a revenge film in which the protagonist's destruction is ultimately of herself. It is a film about the pain of speaking; speech falls back on itself, creating the rhythm that drives the film, carving a space in which we can touch one another and see. It is a film in which all of these disparate testimonies collide, and where water is shed. It shows the point just before a new balance is found - the point of devastation before one remakes oneself.' - A.S.
