Art film which involves Regatta Piece, a series of ten sculptures by Nicholas Munro, set in a field of barley. "The subject matter of Sailing Through is a series of yacht sculptures seen sailing across the top of a field of barley and filmed from early morning to sunset. The camera looks at them from different positions, with different lenses, sometimes still, sometimes moving, using all the conventions of the documentary film with appropriately slushy music on the sound track. It could be any romantic little film about England's landscape glory but there are those odd shapes quietly undermining our sense of what we're seeing". Rodney Wilson 1977
