When we were growing up in Nigeria, children would run after us chanting: 'Oyinbo Pepper Eatie eatie pepper Ifie Eatie pepper You go yellow more more.' 'Oyinbo' means peeled skin - a term used to describe whites. We were called 'Oyinbo Pepper' or 'Yellow' due to our mixed parentage. Using old footage and photographs, these films explore the differing cultures of my parents and our position within these cultures. - C.E.
