"A series of images linked (if disconnected) by leader. Overall colour is an important visual element, the film beginning with a vibrant blood red that swamps the frame. The film subsequently presents us with close ups of familiar objects, the camera zooming in slightly and the focus being manipulated to blur the image, sometimes repeated so that texture and colour pulsate. Vertical strips of colour vie with surfaces on which light is reflected: a white gloss painted surface trickles and seems to melt as it reflects light; spidery abstract patterns are seen in cracked tiles." Michael O'Pray, Monthly Film Bulletin, 1983 p.284.
