Shot largely in through a rear view mirror in a moving car, Dual Carriageway is divided into three distinct sections, both visually and aurally, which investigate three interrelated ideas: the difference between watching a film of a familiar event and the event itself; the psychology/physiology of fluctuation of intensity of perception; the effects upon perception of additional or related information and the role of cinematic presentation in hiding or creating meaning.
