Abstract film promoting cheaper rates for parcel post. "Lye seems to have been aware of and welcomed the material aspects [of hand drawn film], working with, rather than against, the imperfections. Many of the marks on Colour Box are made by scratching, others by bold stencils repeated from frame to frame with changes of position and colour." Malcolm Le Grice, Abstract Film and Beyond, 1977.
